The COSMIC CHRIST      And                        Richard Rohr
We will watch together this respected spiritual speaker explore the long hidden and misunderstood wisdom of the cosmic, universal Christ. It is actually an Archetype much larger and older than either Jesus of Nazareth or the Christian religion.

When one reaches the highest degree of human maturity, one has only one question left: How can I be helpful?

—TERESA OF ÁVILA

Beloved author Ronald Rolheiser continues his search for an accessible and penetrating Christian spirituality in identifying and embracing a discipleship that can lead to new heights of spiritual awareness and maturity.  As Rolheiser explains, when we embrace the struggle and yearning to know God we can experience too a profound re-understanding to our daily lives.

How do I live beyond my own heartaches, headaches, and obsessions so as to help make other peoples’ lives more meaningful?

As the poet Rainer Maria Rilke suggests, “Live the questions now.” In Sacred Fire, Rolheiser’s deeply affecting prose urges us on in pursuit of the most holy of all passions—a deep and lasting intimacy with God

Our contemporary way of the cross highlights the plight of 'Climate Change' and the social justice issues associated with how like Jesus, we crucify the poor and damage our global home created by God with exploitation and destruction of the environment.

This year we've now also included aWay of the Cross for the Pandemic

Come snowshoe in our backyard bordering on Gatineau Park by contacting us...(we've got two pairs of snowshoes available free to use).
LENTEN Essence FILM SERIES--

THE WAY OF THE HEART
includes 10 Mini FILMS
ZOOM with Discussion GUIDE

The Stations of the Cross are a long-standing tradition among Christians who choose to hold a vigil in their hearts during Good Friday. From the 14 original stations of the cross, we have selected 10 films that we believe embody 10 markers of Jesus’s journey, and allow us to make the inward trek of death to resurrection alongside him. We hope these stations, films, and meditations. will be a blessing to your journey, and open up his Way of the Heart.
We will watch two short films and then discuss the Stations relevance for our times starting on Friday night of Ash Wednesday Week Feb 19th  2021 at   7:30pm-8:30pm for 5 weeks
Join us on Zoom with Chaplain Rick and friends of St Irenaeus House.
